Who we are

Built for the next generation of movement.

4DL is being shaped around a simple conviction: warehousing works best when space, technology and operations are designed together.

Warehouse Engineering, Automation & Intelligent Operations

A focused sister brand of 4D.

Built alongside 4D's broader advisory perspective, 4DL concentrates on the engineered reality of warehouses: the flow through the building, the equipment moving goods, the intelligence directing work and the teams making the operation run. It brings an implementation mindset to questions that cannot be solved on paper alone.

AI in the family: Phoenix by 4D.

4D also builds Phoenix, its brand for custom AI systems that connect data, workflows, reports and decisions. 4DL and Phoenix meet where a warehouse becomes a source of decisions: the physical and control systems are engineered by 4DL, and the AI layer above them can be built with Phoenix.

Focus is a competitive advantage.

We are not trying to be every kind of logistics business. We focus on warehouses, intralogistics and the systems inside them. That focus gives every decision—from equipment interfaces to operational responsibility—a clearer purpose.

Ambition without invention.

We want to help shape a smarter future for warehousing. That begins with honest capabilities, the right specialist partners, rigorous execution and a willingness to learn from the realities on the floor.

How we decide

Four principles

  1. Think in systems.

    Every component affects another.

  2. Start with the work.

    Technology serves operational need.

  3. Design for change.

The future will not preserve today's order profile.

  4. Own the interface.

Handoffs deserve as much attention as headline equipment.

FAQ

What 4DL is, and is not

What is Phoenix by 4D, and how does it relate to 4DL?

Phoenix by 4D is the AI brand of 4D, our sister company. It builds custom AI systems that connect data, workflows, reports and decisions. 4DL focuses on the warehouse itself—space, automation, software and operations. Where a warehouse project needs an AI layer beyond its core systems, the two can work together; the scope and responsibilities are agreed for each project.

Does 4DL manufacture the machines it specifies?

Our model is based on designing integrated warehouse systems and working with suitable equipment and technology manufacturers. The final manufacturer, responsibilities, warranties and service arrangements are confirmed for each project. We do not present third-party products as 4DL-manufactured.

Do you offer trucking or freight forwarding?

Not as a core 4DL offering. Our focus is the warehouse, internal movement and the systems that run it.

Can you automate a factory?

We can explore intralogistics and warehouse flow inside industrial environments, but factory production-line engineering and manufacturing equipment are outside our present focus.

Do you work in oil and gas?

Yes, on the warehousing and materials side: supply bases, laydown yards, critical-spares stores, hazardous-materials storage and the inventory systems that connect them to maintenance. Process, well, pipeline and plant engineering are outside our focus, and regulated design and approvals are carried out by appropriately licensed parties.

Which countries do you serve?

We evaluate projects individually based on geography, complexity, partner availability and regulatory requirements. Contact us with your location and requirements.
